Open Letter to Congress and the President
We are furious with how much of our money you have been spending. You continue to claim that only the wealthy will pay for it with higher taxes. Just where do you think they will get their increased money for taxes? We will pay for it. Every billion you spend causes our expenses to increase whenever we pay our bills, buy our food, eat out, buy fuel or watch a movie. The wealthy will create less jobs and the jobs they do create will have lower salaries. We believe that you should cut your own salaries and benefits before you start cutting into ours. We do not want our children and future grandchildren to pay for the ridiculous spending that you have approved in the last nine months.
We do not support the President's Health Care Reform. We cannot entrust the government which cannot even manage a simple $2 billion program to manage 1/6 of our economy. You cannot even financially support your own Cash For Clunkers program without asking your recently acquired auto companies to bail you out. Most Americans are happy with their health options and insurance. We want you to do something about the ridiculous lawsuits against competent doctors which increase our expenses. We want you to do something about the binding legislation against insurance companies and pharmacutical companies which increase our expenses. You say that we have 45 million uninsured people in America? Then send the millions of illegal aliens back to their countries and we will find a way to help the 15 million who really need and deserve our help.
We want you to protect us, not baby us. We want you to defend us, not apologize for us. We expect you to do whatever it takes to stop people from illegally coming into our country. We expect you to stand for and with your fellow Americans and not with the world's opinions. We do not need a compassionate government, because the American people are already the most compassionate people in the world. We fight for the freedoms of those who are tyrannized by the very people you want to cozy up to. American men and women have gladly placed their very lives on the line to aid Europe, Asia and the Middle East. We send volunteers and financial support during times of crisis to every country in need. Americans give more and do more for the countries in this world than all of the rest combined. Why do you think so many people want to come into America. We are the finest nation on the planet and we do not want our president trash talking about us around the world.
We want you to support the Americans who came here legally. We are the ones you should answer to, not leaders or citizens from other countries. Unlike Mr. Obama, we are not citizens of the world, we are Americans. We are not Canadians, Mexicans, Europeans, Africans or Asians. This is America and we are supposed to have a government which works FOR the people. Congress is not listening to the people and it is making us angry. We are not a mob, we are your constituents. Do not answer us with your talking points because we do not care what you think. You work for us, you represent us and you are to listen to us. When you start doing that, we will support you. Until then, we will fight you every step of the way.
