Media Tech Semester Projects

Having fun with my homeschool media technology class. We have about 14 students in middle school to high school. I decided that this semester I would challenge them to come up with a pretend product or company that they are going to promote using multiple platforms.

Examples:
  • Jetpack
  • Rock star
  • Racing car designer
  • Photography company
  • Anime or comic book publisher
They will create an online presence to promote their product/company:

Set up a YouTube Channel (youtube.com)
  • Make some commercials promoting the product/company
  • Make some infomercials about the product/company
Set up a website (sites.google.com)
  • Should include frontpage, about page and contact page
  • Design needs to be consistent with your product/company image
Set up a Blog (blogspot.com)
  • Should be a weekly blog post about the process of creating your product/company
  • You can include blogs about the process of setting up the other sites
  • Final blogs prior to the final presentation should be about the features of your product/company
Create a facebook group page (facebook.com)
  • Should include information about your product/company
  • Invite people to join your group
Create an art page (deviantart.com)
  • Design a logo for your product/company
  • Display photos of your product/company

“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news.” Isaiah 52:7 (NIV) I have never been very comfortable in shoes. It really doesn’t matter whether they have great arch support, ultra extreme amounts of cushioning, or how much they cost.
